Seymourpowell Future Probes
The Gen Z Project
In 2012, Laura Dekker became the youngest person ever to circumnavigate the globe solo. She was 16 years old. In March 2013, Nicholas D’Aloisio-Montilla sold his App Summly to Yahoo for a reported 30 million US dollars. He was 18 years old. In 2014, Mala Yousafzai won the Nobel peace prize. She was 17 years old. Generation Z (those born after the mid-nineties) are re-writing the rulebooks.
As part of our ongoing exploration of the new and next, Seymourpowell runs regular self-initiated studies called ‘future probes’. Most recently we have launched The Gen Z Project to get under the skin of this extraordinarily ambitious consumer group who, although still in their teens, are already biting at the heels of their Millennial predecessors in terms of personal achievement and ambition.
